Analytics Dashboard

Back-office dashboard presents a summary of the most important statistics and analytics. Common set of filters control how data set should be selected.

Filters Section

Date Range Filter

Selected date range is picked from this filter. There are few pre-defined date filters and the ability to select a custom day range. All the next filters will apply on the data filtered from this filter.

Note: A day is always considered to start from 00:00 and end 24:00

Branch Filter, Employees Filter, Items Filter

By default, the logged in user is shown transaction data of all the branches that person is authorized to check. Using this filter the user can select a subset of those branches. Similarly the employees filter is used to select a subset of sales people who make the sales and items filter to select a subset of selling items.

Meaning of each of the rows above are presented in the below table.

Gross salestotal sales if all the items were sold at their listed prices.
Service chargesum of service charge on bills for the selected period.
Discountsum of item level and bill level discounts for the selected period.
Complementarysum of all bills with payment method complementary for the selected period.
Tax 01 and tax 02 (appear only if tax/(es) configured)sum of tax 01 and tax 02 charged on bills for the selected period.
Net salesgross sales - complementary - discounts + service charge + tax 01 + tax 02

Meaning of each of the rows above are presented in the below table. Once you are logged into the back-office, you can get tips on the meaning of each row by hovering your mouse over the info icons.

Net salesnet income from POS sales. Copied from the sale line in the sales summary section.
Other incomeother income entered in income/expenses section of the back-office.
Cost of goods soldthe purchasing cost of the goods sold (item cost or recipe cost). Inventory cost is calculated following first in first out (FIFO) approach.
Cost of other stock debitscumulative cost of inventory deductions due to adjustments, stock takes, expiry and breakages.
Other expensesother expenses entered in income/expenses section of the back-office.
Profitnet sales + other income - cost of goods sold - cost of other stock debits - other expenses.

Sales Breakdown

Following pie charts shows sales for the selected period by branches, employees, payment methods, delivery methods and items.

If you want to view the value of a piece of any of these pie charts, you can just hover mouse over that piece.

If you want to remove one piece from a chart and compare other pieces, just click on the piece name in the legend. And to add that piece back the same action can be performed.

Sales Distribution

Hourly or daily sales can be viewed in the line graph at the bottom of the dashboard.

When a day is selected from the date range filter, then the hourly sales will be displayed.

When a week, month or any custom day range is selected from date range filter, then the daily sales will be displayed.
